I am a retired British Gorkha Army and I have been travelling, exploring many treks like Everest Base Camp Trekking, Annapurna Circuit Trek, Upper Mustang Trekking, Kanchanjunga Trekking and more. I even climbed Mera Peak (6,476m) and reached half of the way to Mt. Ama Dablam (6,856m) with Alliance Treks. I was planning to take my wife to Gosainkunda Trekking as a pilgrimage and trekker finally I did it. Gosainkunda Lake trek from Kathmandu is the gate way to Langtang Valley Trek and Helambu Circuit Trek too inside Langtang National Park and I love to do whole trip like Langtang – Gosainkunda – Helambu Valley Circuit Trekking in Autumn 2026.

Gosainkunda lake trek from Kathmandu we completed within 7 days. Guide Lal and porter Mano are best. We are 3 people from Spain and this is our third trekking in Nepal. Gosainkunda is trek in the first week of September give you excellent chance to experience a big hindu festival called ‘Janai purnima’. Little bit over crowd but Shamanism and Tamang people culture from the local is incomparable.
